HOTEL LANDA, Burgos (Spain) May 2024
Hotel Landa stands as an architectural marvel along the Castilian landscape, masterfully blending historic preservation with timeless luxury. Its defining crown jewel is a majestic 14th-century Gothic defensive tower, which was meticulously dismantled stone-by-stone from a nearby village and reassembled on-site in 1964 to house some of the hotel's most exclusive, antique-filled suites. This medieval centerpiece flows seamlessly into classic Castilian structures, giving the entire property the enchanting ambiance of a fortified estate. Inside, the architecture continues to captivate, most notably in the indoor swimming pool area, where guests swim beneath soaring stone vaults beside a roaring open fireplace, creating a dramatic, cathedral-like atmosphere that makes the hotel a destination in its own right.
