NEUENDORF HOUSE, Mallorca (Spain) June 2025
The Neuendorf House is an iconic masterpiece of Mediterranean minimalist architecture located in a secluded almond grove in southern Mallorca. As the first and only collaborative project between legendary architects John Pawson and Claudio Silvestrin, this monolithic, fortress-like villa is defined by towering geometric walls tinted a distinct coral-pink using natural local soil pigments. The design centers around a dramatic open-air courtyard and a striking 40-meter-long sunken swimming pool, utilizing narrow vertical wall cutouts to create a sensory choreography of light and shadow. Grounded in a raw, earth-toned landscape, its grand scale and minimalist interiors are meticulously crafted to foster absolute stillness, privacy, and slow living
